Typing Test review
Typing Test is an interactive app that helps you improve your typing speed and accuracy. It offers many exercises, activities, and fun challenges to guide you to professional keyboarding.
Interface: Organized and Appealing 8/10
With an app like Typing Test, you need an interface that presents users with a large amount of data through an organized yet pleasant design. This app successfully displays scores, your typing history, Score Board, and your profile settings in an easy-to-use manner. The app compiles statistics in a way that is easy for you to digest. The scoreboard, however, is a challenge motivator for some people and an excuse for discouragement for others.
Features: Help You Improve Your Typing Skills 8/10
At first, you will learn the primary keys and common combinations. Then the app will proceed to punctuation, capitalization, symbols, numbers, tapping patterns, and more. After you type your way through a lesson, a heat map will indicate where you missed the mark. Other helpful data is also available: the amount of time you needed to type a lesson, words per minute, typing accuracy, and so on.
You can watch a replay of every lesson and see where you made mistakes. You can also measure your typing speed against your friends on the leader board. Every feature helps you figure out where you falter.
Usability: Very Helpful 7/10
Because smartphones can be difficult to use when typing lengthy paragraphs, the more advanced lessons aren't always easy – especially for children and adults who don't like typing on the phone. Still, the app provides enough content and lots of helpful data to ensure you keep typing.
Compatibility: Not For Windows Users 6/10
You can download Typing Test for free for Android and iOS devices. Unfortunately, the app doesn't support Windows OS. Besides, it requires Android 4.1 or above or iOS 11.0 or above to work. The app is compatible with iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. The only available language is English.
Typing Test offers you quite a lot of feedback, such as the heat map that shows where your fingers are hitting the screen incorrectly. As you identify your strengths and weaknesses, you can focus on areas that require more work. As your skills improve, you'll begin to notice how they transfer to other tasks on your phone.
